Virgo-Aquarius
The initial attraction for the Virgo native in this relationship could likely be the impression given by Aquarius that he or she lives a wonderfully exciting life. The independence and self-reliance of Virgo will probably give the Aquarius native an impression of strength…not to mention a sense of relief in finding someone who will not lean to heavily upon him or her. Thus, the attraction between these two may well prove to be sufficiently robust to begin a relationship based solely on first impressions…never the most promising manner in which to start out together in life. Here, both Signs get their motivations courtesy of mental stimulations. However, those ruled by Virgo fully expect to receive their encouragement from within a partnership, while subjects of Aquarius look to outside influences for their supply. The preoccupation of Aquarius with the problems of others is not conducive to leaving much time for sharing in the quiet life that Virgo so enjoys. Hence, it would probably not be long before the Aquarius partner falls victim to the infamously sharp and critical tongue with which Virgo natives were generously endowed. The outside influences of the Aquarius mate could also easily be the cause of disaster in the arena of physical intimacy. The romantic appetite here is about equal, so it should be a good match…but Virgo may not be able to get the mind of his or her Aquarius partner off the problems of others for more than a very short period of time. Basically, it may be difficult for this pairing to even reach short affair status. The Virgo/Aquarius match could bring out either the best or the worst in one another. Virgo natives follow a more rigid and theory-oriented approach to life, whereas the poetic outlook of those governed by Aquarius knows nothing of the scientific world. Still, this pair may actually thrive on their differences, provided they can grow together as each learns more about the other. Aquarius is prone to be passionate and temperamental, while Virgo operates in a more methodical fashion…and with very little fuss. Virgo tends to be invariably organized and level-headed. Aquarius is far more modern and cringes at the very thought of routine. There is no doubt that the Virgo native will find Aquarius to be exciting, but he or she may become annoyed with attempting to probe the mind of the individual ruled by Aquarius. Most certainly, the Aquarius partner will be upset by Virgo’s criticism…but will find the solid base provided by Virgo to be immensely appealing. Virgo is ruled by the planet Mercury and Aquarius is ruled by the planet Uranus, together with a secondary influence afforded by Saturn (the planet that ruled Aquarius prior to the discovery of Uranus). Both Mercury and Uranus are considered to be androgynous energies, while Saturn is a cool and traditional energy. Mercury is associated with communication and focuses upon organization and efficiency, all of which are of paramount importance to those governed by Virgo. Uranus is concerned with all things odd and atypical. It is a planet that is centered on forward-thinking. Saturn is symbolic of hard work and the discipline necessary to achieve goals. Thus, Virgo will attempt to introduce organization, rationality and comfort into the life of an Aquarius partner, while Aquarius is capable of inspiring his or her Virgo mate to be more aloof, or to dig in the heels and stand up for what is believed. Virgo is governed by the element of Earth while Aquarius is governed by the element of Air. Aquarius moves through life seeking pure spiritual enlightenment. Virgo is far more intellectual…in search of the “how” and the “why” of any given situation. Conversely, natives of Aquarius simply focus on whatever might take their fancy…practical or not, generally posing the question, “what’s next?” Hence, on occasion, each partner here may find it difficult to understand the other’s perspective. Conflict may also arise if the Virgo native grows obsessed with realizing the perfect relationship or the Aquarius mate seems overly aloof. The key is for each partner to appreciate and respect the other’s view of the world…and accept that each has much to learn from his or her partner. Virgo is Mutable in quality and Aquarius is Fixed. Consequently, those governed by Aquarius can be unreasonable, opinionated and stubborn souls. Both Signs are known to be exceedingly passionate and intent when working toward personal goals. Virgo adapts well to any social situation and will be happy to help Aquarius along…provided such efforts are appreciated. Conflicts between this couple will probably be rare and generally resolved more by courtesy of Virgo’s accommodating nature than by any concessions on the part ofAquarius. Basically, Virgo is more realistic than Aquarius and far more willing to budge in order to avoid a heated argument. If these two can come to realize they are working together toward a common goal, then it will be much easier for that goal to be attained. Perhaps the best aspect of a Virgo/Aquarius match is the fact that when these two come together, the combined ambition drives them to deeds that can be quite miraculous. On the whole, this cab be an informative and enlightening union that brings pleasure to both partners if other conditions are favorable.
